Web Development FAQ
Q. How long does it take to build a web site?
A. The time between starting and finishing a web site is primarily dependent on three factors:
-
(1) the size and complexity of the site
(2) the number of times that edits, images, text, and other site information
must be exchanged with the client
(3) the speed of those exchanges.
Q. What will my web site cost?
A. The web is an eminently customizable medium, and how much a site costs is almost entirely dependent on the needs of the client. A simple one- or two-page site can be created and deployed for less than $100. A larger site or one with more advanced features (dynamic content, online ordering, etc.) will be more expensive, with a equivalent increase in effectiveness. If you have a particular site configuration in mind, call or e-mail us. We're happy to discuss your web site requirements and give free price estimates for various options.
Q. Can I take credit cards online?
A. Yes. Implementing an online ordering system is costly however, so it is a good idea to carefully asses what your online sales are likely to be before investing in an e-commerce enabled site and the various third-party services that are required to ensure the security of your transactions.
Q. Can I update my web site myself?
A. Doing basic HTML updates and site maintenance is not extremely difficult. If you have a moderate level of general computer skills, there is a good chance that, with a little training and the necessary software, you would be able to update your own site.
